STOP ICE'S "EASY PICKINGS"
Jose and Josue Trejo Lopez were quietly put on a plane to El Salvador on May 7 — two days earlier than ICE had promised, and before a judge could review new evidence in their case. The 19 and 20 year-old brothers, who have lived in the U.S. since childhood and have no criminal record, were denied due process protections and subjected to inhumane treatment while in custody.
If you believe their removal should be reversed, and that they deserve a fair hearing, add your name to the petition.
MAGA's Project 2025 isn’t just a plan anymore – it’s here. Whether by dismantling government agencies, trampling reproductive rights, or attacking public education, the Trump administration is following the extremist playbook step-by-step.
The first step is educating ourselves on what they are doing, which is why Red Wine & Blue created the Reality of Project 2025 website – which not only explains how extremists are implementing the extremist plan, but what we can do to stop it.
Get started! Click here to check out the Reality of Project 2025 Tracker and help spread the word.

Let’s play to win elections at all levels and in every locale for 2025, 2026 and beyond. Neighborhood Leaders are the key connections to increase voter turnout and win elections!
"Word-of-mouth is the only form of persuasion that works. Which is more effective: a TV ad for a Honda or a neighbor telling you why they love their Honda? A century of marketing research confirms that a recommendation from a friend or neighbor is the number one thing that drives decision making." - Reframing America 2025
Democrats of the Desert believes in the year-round work to be informed about issues and candidates, advocacy with elected officials and communities, and pathways to ensure that Democratic candidates and values win in elections at every level.

Rep. Raul Ruiz hosted a town hall at Rancho Mirage High School on Saturday. His special guests included House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Rep. Teresa Ledger Fernandez, NM CD3 (also Chair of the Democratic Women Caucus), and Rep. Nanette Baragan, the first Latina to represent California’s 44th District.
This was the first stop on their National Town Hall Tour. Leader Jeffries encouraged those in the audience to share their stories with House Democrats so they can share them with others.
He also shared these inspiring words from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr:
"Press on and keep pressing. If you can’t fly, run; if you can’t run, walk; if you can’t walk— CRAWL. At all times, PRESS ON and KEEP PRESSING."
